BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — A 22-year-old St. Gabriel man has been indicted in an Oct. 13 hit-and-run accident that injured two pedestrians in the Tigerland area of LSU.

The Advocate reports (http://bit.ly/RcrL5D ) an East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury charged Mark Almon on Wednesday with felony hit and run.

Police say Almon did not stop after hitting the 19-year-old woman and 21-year-old man, but he surrendered to authorities about 12 hours later.

Almon faces up to 10 years in prison.

The case has been assigned to state District Judge Chip Moore.

It could not be determined whether Almon has an attorney.
