UPDATE – Man Arrested After Allegedly Shooting Into Crowd In Front Of Lafayette Home

Update: Lafayette Police say Hebert Joseph Montgomery III has been arrested. Police continue to investigate.

Lafayette Police were called out to the 200 of North St. Antoine Street last night after there was a report of a shooting.

Witnesses told police officers a suspect pulled out a gun after one of the victims called out to him.  The suspect is alleged to have started firing at the crowd of people standing outside of the home.

No one was inured in the shooting, and the suspect fled the area in an unknown direction.

Detectives issued an arrest warrant for 21-year-old Hebert Joseph Montgomery for 4 counts of Attempted First Degree Murder.

Police say they don't know the motive of the shooting at this time, but their investigation is ongoing.
