Man Shot On Shot Street In New Iberia

The Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office is still investigating after a man was shot in the arm on Shot Street early this morning while allegedly involved in a drug transaction.

The victim told deputies he was riding down Shot Street where he approached several black men, and while he was talking to one suspect, another suspect attempted to steal his money.

The victim says they struggled, and a third suspect shot him in the arm.

Deputies say the victim them drove away and later contacted the Iberia Sheriff's Office.
