Man Wanted For Algiers Murder Arrested By State Troopers In Broussard

New Orleans Police asked State Police for their help this morning after Abbie Head of Algiers was believed headed to the Broussard area, and we was armed and suicidal.

State Police began their search for Head, who New Orleans Police say, is the man responsible for a murder that happened in their city.

Troopers and deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office were asked to help in the search, and ultimatley Head was found at a Broussard hotel.

Head was taken into custody without incident by troopers.

He was booked into the St. Martin Parish Jail on a warrant for second degree murder.

The man will stay in St. Martin Parish until he is transported back to New Orleans.
