Man Who Locks Himself In Cockpit Facing More Charges

The man who was arrested after police says he locked himself in the cockpit of plane will be facing plenty of charges.

37-year-old Andrew Alessi of Baton Rouge went into the cockpit of a plane that had no one on board.  It was American Eagle flight 2795 which was headed for the Dallas-Fort Worth airport.  The morning incident happened after Alessi bought a plane ticket and went through airport security with no problems.

He will be facing local charges in addition to federal charges.  East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s deputies booked Alessi on a count of terrorizing.  A FBI spokesman says that Alessi will also be facing charges of interfering with a flight crew.

Alessi’s bail is 150-thousand dollars for the count of terrorism.
