An Amelia man was arrested Monday night by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office after they say he was found in the middle of the street without his shirt and his pants around his ankles.

Deputies arrested 34-year-old Henry Harris Randall on charges of disturbing the peace, obstructing a public passage, and resisting an officer after he was found standing in the middle of Aucoin Lane.

According to the arresting officers, as police were trying to figure out what was happening on the scene, Randall continued to yell profanities at the officers and other people that were near by.

When deputies attempted to take Randall into custody, he reportedly began to fight back. After apprehending Randall, the police then took him to the Teche Regional Medical Center where he was examined and then released.

He was later taken to jail.
