Mandatory Evacuation Lifted
May 29, 2011 4:30 PM Portions of St. Martin parish will switch to a voluntary evacuation from a mandatory evacuation. The areas south from Happy Town Entrance along Atchafalaya River Highway up to the intersection of Herman Dupuis Road and continuing west until the foot of the bridge at Dick Davis Park will be lifted to a voluntary evacuation beginning Monday at 8:00 a.m. Residents will need to show proof of residency for re-entry.
Those residents that live in the Atchafalaya Acres Subdivision will be under a boil water advisory until further notice.
