‘Mardi Gras At The Market’ Today

The second annual Mardi Gras at the Market is being held this Saturday, February 14, at the weekly Lafayette Farmers and Artisans Market at the Horse Farm.

The market itself will open at 8:00am, and a traditional Courir des Mardi Gras chicken run will begin at 9:00 am. Cedric Watson et Bijou Creole will perform at 10:30 am, followed by the Pine Leaf Boys at 12:15 pm. A mask decorating contest will be held, and everyone is encouraged to come in costume, and watch the Children's Mardi Gras parade rolling on Johnston St. at 12:30 pm!
