Marines Mark New Command In New Orleans
NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The Marine Forces Reserve held ceremonies on Monday to formally activate the Force Headquarters Group.
The ceremonies happened at 10 a.m. at the Marine Corps Support Facility in New Orleans.
Force Headquarters Group was formed July 18 and is commanded by Maj. Gen. Tracy Garrett. The organization handles administrative and operational command of six Marine Reserve units.
Garrett will be transferring command to Brig. Gen. Paul Lebidine.
