New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram tweaked his contract to help his team free up cap space.

Ingram does not take a paycut in the restructure. He was set to make $3 million this season. He'll now see $2.235 million of his $3 million salary now, as that much was converted into a signing bonus.

It saves the Saints $1.49 million in cap space now, but they'll still need to account for another $1.49 million in cap space in future years.

The team did the same thing yesterday with defensive end Cam Jordan and punter Thomas Morstead.

According to the NFLPA, the Saints now have $3.6 million in salary-cap space.
