U.S. Equity and options markets were closed Monday due to Hurricane Sandy. Exchanges and regulators have also decided to keep the markets closed Tuesday.

  • Economic data was largely in-line with consensus expectations. Personal incomes, consumer spending and business activity in Texas were all within the expected range.
  • Fixed income markets traded for the first half of the day until their closure at noon ET.
  • Treasuries ended modestly higher with the 10-year note advancing 7/32 to yield 1.72% and the 30-year bond rising 13/32 to yield 2.88%. Treasury markets will also remain closed Tuesday.
