Marksville Man Arrested In Equipment Theft At Army National Guard Training And Support Facility

PINEVILLE, La. (AP) — A 27-year-old Marksville man has been booked with allegedly stealing equipment from Camp Beauregard in Rapides Parish.

The Town Talk reports Camp Beauregard officials on Sept. 13 reported the theft of electric generators and pressure washers. Investigators found several of the items at pawn shops.

Brett Ducote was arrested and booked with simple burglary and two counts of theft over $500.

Ducote is a state employee who works at Camp Beauregard, an Army National Guard training and support facility and home of the 199th Leadership Regiment 225th Engineer Brigade.

It was unclear whether Ducote has an attorney.
