Today is National Signing Day, so I decided to go back, and take a look at a highly-recruited high school player who has done pretty well for himself since.

New Orleans Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore played his prep football at Glenville High School in Cleveland, Ohio, where he played cornerback and receiver.

As a senior, Lattimore was named one of six finalists for the U.S. Army Player of the Year Award.

Now, I believe highlight films can be overrated. One can easily get fooled by one.

But one look at the ridiculous high school highlight film of Lattimore, below, and it should have been apparent to everyone that he was a special player.

A 4-star recruit, Lattimore signed with Ohio St., where he was a first-team All-Big Ten selection in 2016, before being taken by the Saints in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

The 21-year old Lattimore made the Saints' pick look good, as he was named a Pro Bowl selection, as well as the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.
