That is one of the most horrifying aspects of Sprint Cup Racing. Not the crash per say but the fact that the crash sent debris and car parts into the stands. The car that hit the catch fence was driven by Austin Dillon. Dillon was okay except for some minor injuries. We are still updating the condition of the fans that were injured.

According to USA Today, Thirteen fans were examined for injury. Eight of those fans declined treatment. Four of the fans were treated and released at the Daytona International Speedway infield care center. The final fan was taken to an area hospital where they were reported to be in stable condition.
