Jindal Hypocrite On McAllister And Vitter Infidelity Incidents? – Wingin’ It Wednesday

This week on "Wingin' It Wednesday", panelist Mike Stagg, Warren Caudle, and Carol Ross joined "Nathan and Bernie in the Morning" to discuss the lower than projected costs of Medicaid expansion as well as Governor Bobby Jindal's seemly conflicting stances on the Vance McAllister and David Vitter infidelity incidences.

Here's what the panel had to say:

1. Obamacare won't be quite as expensive as originally thought.  A new Congressional Budget Office report says it now expects Medicaid expansion subsidies to cost five-billion dollars less than projected in 2014.  Your thoughts?

Mike Stagg started us off:

As you probably don’t know because we live in Louisiana and we haven’t taken Medicaid expansion, Medicaid expansion is a huge success across the country in terms of the amount of people that it has brought to coverage. So are the exchanges in terms of the amount of people that have gotten coverage.
This is a good law, it’s helping people. That’s the role of government, to advance the common good. What we have in Louisiana is a governor and a legislator playing politics with people’s health care.
Warren

Warren Caudle added:

We’ve had problems with healthcare delivery in this county. We came up with a “political solution”. Both side in this thing want to throw things around, the fact of the matter is, when it comes to healthcare we had a lopsided system. There are a lot of problems we got that we’ve got to sit down and address.
The one thing about expanding medicare and medicaid, it only makes sense.

Carol Ross Concluded:

The original premise says Obamacare won’t be as expensive as originally thought. And really, who pays for all of this? They’re continuing to expand Medicaid, but eventually the piper will need to be paid. And that means all of us for this overwrought piece of legislation.
These phony promises that are just as phony as all these other promises made by Obama.

 

2. During a press conference Monday, Governor Bobby Jindal offered his explanation for calling for the resignation of embattled Congressman Vance McAllister for an infidelity... but he refused to connect the incident to Senator David Vitter's scandal.   Your thoughts?

Carol stated:

Jindal never supported McCalister to begin with, why would he support him now? In terms of trying to connect it with David Vitter, come on, Vitter is a good conservative vote and McAllister isn’t. (McAllister) is out there hanging on his own. There’s nobody who is going to come out and support him. Serve out your term and go away.

Warren added:

Is this question for real? Did Jindal really have a  live press conference in the state of Louisiana? I want to guarantee you that if he did have a press conference in Louisiana it was staged. That’s the only way he’s going to speak to anyone inside the state of Louisiana.
Why are they so opposed to McAllister? Why the double standard? The political parties have lost most of their reason for being in existence. The Republican Party’s boy got beat by McAllister. They’re going to do everything they can to try to keep McAllister out of there.

Mike stated:

I just want to remind everybody that the reason we had that election was an attempt to steal the seat basically by the Jindal administration. McAllister sort of upset the apple cart. They never backed him.
The issue with Vitter is that the governor knows who his political daddy is. There is a difference between men and boys and Jindal cannot mess with David Vitter.
