LAKE ARTHUR, La. (AP) — A public meeting will be held Tuesday to bring residents up to date on plans for a scenic throughway in Jefferson Davis Parish.

The American Press reports the session will be at 5:30 p.m. at Lake Arthur City Hall and will focus on the proposed Flyway Byway.

The Flyway Byway is projected as a 55-mile scenic driving route with bicycle trails, waterways and walking paths passing through Jennings, Welsh and Lake Arthur.

The project is funded by a Federal Highway Administration grant.
