Two of the three vehicles of interest that were captured on surveillance video have been ruled out by Lafayette Police.

Spokesperson Corporal Paul Mouton says they have identified the operators and occupants of both the older model 4-door car and the white 4-door pickup truck with the bed cover. Investigators have ruled out any involvement by these individuals and they offered no additional clues for the investigation.

Police continue to seek information on the newer model white 4-door Chevrolet Z71 pickup truck that police say traveled in the same direction of Mickey while she was riding her bicycle on St. Landry Street. Authorities continue to investigate.

Tuesday, Lafayette Police announced at a press conference that Mickey Shunick‘s bike, which was found under Interstate 10 Saturday at the Whiskey Bay exit, had damage to the rear tire. Authorities also announced that they do not believe there is a connection with the disappearance of Mickey Shunick and that of a University of Indiana girl who went missing more than a year ago.
