Mire Father Arrested For Alleged Domestic Battery

Mason Menard of Mire was caught on Sunday for allegedly hitting his child's mother earlier this year.

The mother reported to Acadia Parish authorities that Menard allegedly hit her as she and her babysitter were trying to exchange custody of the child with Menard. She suffered minor injuries.

The alleged incident happened on January 4th in the 5000 block of the Mire Highway.

Menard has been booked into the Acadia Parish Jail for domestic abuse battery with child endangerment.
