ZACHARY, La. (AP) — A Brookhaven, Miss., company has been awarded a contract to build a water line in Zachary.

The Advocate reports (http://bit.ly/MwDcRi ) Greenbriar Digging Services will be paid for $134,250 for a two-part project to run a water line from the city's water system to the site of a proposed YMCA in the Americana commercial-residential development.

The state Department of Health and Hospitals must approve the permit for the line before construction can begin.
