Mobile Blood Donation Centers Open TODAY

We're nearing the end of the year! Why not end it on a high note and give the gift of life as you barrel into 2017. Here are today's locations for United Blood Services mobile blood locations.

December 28- United Blood Services, 1503 Bertrand Drive:  9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

• Today’s (12/28) other blood drive locations:  Walmart  in Breaux Bridge , The Grand Theatre 10 in New Iberia, Opelousas Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Center in Opelousas, all from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Franklin Foundation Hospital in Franklin from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• Donors are also entered to win a two night stay at Cypress Bayou Casino, including dinner at Mr. Lesters!

• All blood types are needed, especially O negative.  O negative is the universal blood type; it can be transfused to any patient, regardless of their blood type.  Because of this, it is extremely important to always have a sufficient supply on hand.  However, this blood type is very rare, with only 6% of the U.S. population being type O negative.
