Monroe Civic Center Manager Resigns
MONROE, La. (AP) — The Monroe Civic Center's manager has resigned after more than two years on the job.
The News Star reports (http://tnsne.ws/PODK8B) that the reason for John Benedict's June 7 resignation wasn't immediately clear. Monroe Community Affairs Director John Ross said he couldn't disclose the reason because it was a personnel matter.
Benedict started the job in April 2010.
His predecessor was fired amid police and internal investigations that didn't result in any charges.
