Monroe Man Sentenced To 72 Months On Drug And Weapon Charges

49 year old Edward A. Jordan of Monroe was sentenced to 72 months in prison on one count of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and one count of possession of a firearm in relation to drug trafficking. Evidence presented at his guilty plea in March indicated officers searched Jordan's home and confiscated a large quantity of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, prescription pills, a load Hi-Point 9mm carbine, ammunition and just over $1,000 in cash. Jordan was also sentenced to five years supervised release.
