MONROE, La. (AP) — Monroe police have booked a 40-year-old man into Ouachita Correctional Center on trespassing, domestic abuse battery and aggravated kidnapping charges.

An arrest affidavit states the victim told police her live-in boyfriend, Paul Henry Woods, of Monroe, had returned to the residence after other officers on Saturday told him to leave.

The News-Star reports the affidavit states the victim said Woods entered the home and forced her into the bedroom where he placed an orange belt around her neck and forced her into her white Tahoe at knife point and told her he was going to the river to take care of her.

The affidavit said Woods denied the allegations.

It was unclear whether Woods had an attorney.
