Montoucet To Seek Reelection To State House

Jack Montoucet will seek reelection to his seat in the Louisiana House. He filed the qualifying paperwork this morning. In his first term in office, Montoucet says he's fought to reduce taxes by $1.4 billion while cutting spending by $3.4 billion. Montoucet, a Democrat, says he is pro-life and will seek to protect family values. He also opposed the legislative pay raise. He will be pitted against Republican challenger Anthony Emmons in this fall's elections.
