That's all Rep. Dee Richard needed for his bill to pass the Louisiana House of Representatives, according to Houma Today. His bill would have cut state government outside contract spending by 15 percent.

The Thibodaux representative joined the Moon Griffon Show on Thursday to explain the multiple reasons why his bill fell short of the 53 votes needed, why his bill would have helped deal with Louisiana's budget issues and what his next step will be.
