More Drugs, Guns Are Off Of St. Landry Parish Streets
A Krotz Springs man is now behind bars after narcotics agents found a loot consisting of drugs, guns and cash at his home.
Maj Eddie Thibodeaux reported 57-year-old Benjamin Dedon was booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail Tuesday after agents made several undercover purchases from him.
The agents executed a warrant at his residence recovering an AK-47, an SKS machine gun, an AR-15, and four semi-automatic pistols. Drugs recovered included marijuana and a wide variety of pills.Agents also recovered more than $28,000 in cash.
Dedon was arrested on the following charges:
- Four Counts Distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance
- Possession With The Intent To Distribute A Schedule I (Marijuana)
- Possession With The Intent To Distribute A Schedule II (Oxycodone)
- Possession With The Intent To Distribute A Schedule II (Morphine)
- Possession With The Intent To Distribute A Schedule IV (Xanax)
- Illegal Carrying Of Weapons In The Presence Of a CDS
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Illegal Use of A Controlled Dangerous Substance In The Presence Of A Minor
- Transactions Involving Proceeds from Drug Offenses
His bond was set at $68,750.
