A Krotz Springs man is now behind bars after narcotics agents found a loot consisting of drugs, guns and cash at his home.

Maj Eddie Thibodeaux reported 57-year-old Benjamin Dedon was booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail Tuesday after agents made several undercover purchases from him.

The agents executed a warrant at his residence recovering an AK-47, an SKS machine gun, an AR-15, and four semi-automatic pistols. Drugs recovered included marijuana and a wide variety of pills.Agents also recovered more than $28,000 in cash.

Dedon was arrested on the following charges:

  • Four Counts Distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance
  • Possession With The Intent To Distribute A Schedule I (Marijuana)
  • Possession With The Intent To Distribute A Schedule II (Oxycodone)
  • Possession With The Intent To Distribute A Schedule II (Morphine)
  • Possession With The Intent To Distribute A Schedule IV (Xanax)
  • Illegal Carrying Of Weapons In The Presence Of a CDS
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Illegal Use of A Controlled Dangerous Substance In The Presence Of A Minor
  • Transactions Involving Proceeds from Drug Offenses

His bond was set at $68,750.
