More Money Going Into St. Landry Parish Coffers

The financial news related to sales tax collection in St. Landry Parish is very good.   The latest sales tax collections figures show that the numbers just keeping going up, and it has been that way for almost two years.  May figures were up again.

The St. Landry Parish School Board, the group that watches the numbers, shows that the sales tax figures for May were up by six percent. That marks the seventeenth month in a row that sales tax collections have exceeded the total collected in the same month the year before.

Eunice's sales tax collection numbers were up by three percent and the numbers from Opelousas were up by four and 1/2 percent.
