The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has issued more information about new work to take place on highway 90.

US-90 at the Franklin or Charenton Canal Bridges will be reduced to one lane beginning Monday December 6, 2010, weather permitting in order to repair/replace bridge joints.  This work is expected to be ongoing for the next three months, and will alternate between the two bridges which are located south of Franklin and Baldwin respectively.  Lane closures will alternate between left and right lane, as well as east and west bound roadways during this duration.  DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
