More Work Crews Out This Week

Bill Fontenot with the Louisiana Department of Transporation and Development says the right lane of Bertrand Drive will be closed in the southbound direction from Ambassador Caffery to Banks St. for road construction on Wednesday, December 1st thru Friday, December 17^th.

The good news for commuters, is the work will be done between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.  They are working on this area to build additional turn lanes onto Banks Street.  The lenght of the project is estimated to be two months, provided the weather cooperates.  The DOTD added they appreciate the patience of travelers and reminds citizens to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
