Morgan City Man Accused Of Putting Toddler’s Feet In Scalding Hot Water

34-year-old Theron Thomas of Morgan City has been arrested for allegedly putting the two-year-old victim's feet in scalding hot water.

Captain Megan Vizena with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office says the toddler was brought to the emergency room with burns to both feet. Investigators determined that Thomas was caring for the child at the time of the incident, which happened at a home on Beverly Road in Opelousas.

Thomas faces a charge of second degree cruelty to a juvenile. He's in the St. Landry Parish Jail with a $25,000.00 bond.
