A deputy called out to the intersection of Highway 90 and Southeast Boulevard in Bayou Vista to investigate a crash ended up arresting 42-year-old Kenneth J. Alfred of Morgan City.

The deputy talked to both drivers, and one of them, Mr. Alfred, was driving with a suspended license.

In addition, Alfred had an outstanding warrant.

While investigating further, the deputy found a dozen hydrocodone pills in Alfred’s pocket.

Alfred has been booked on the following charges:

  • Driving under suspension
  • Possession of Schedule II (Hydrocodone) drugs
  • Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension
  • Warrant for possession of Schedule II (Hydrocodone) drugs
