Morgan City Man Busted After Drug Raid

Narcotics agents with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at 121B Eleventh Street in Morgan City, and they arrested 33-year-old Irvin Celestine Jr.

Agents say they found multiple bags of pot, a bag of cocaine, digital scales, $676.00, plastic baggies and a gun.

They say the convicted felon was arrested on the following charges:

• Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
• Possession of cocaine
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Violation of a controlled dangerous substance in a drug free zone
• Transactions involving drug proceeds
• Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
• Possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous subtance

Celestine's home is also within two thousand feet of a church which is a drug free zone.

He was booked into the St. Mary Parish Jail.
