Morgan City Man Busted For Drug Possession And Theft

A Morgan City man has been arrested on drug and theft charges.  It started when St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Officers were investigating a recent rash of home invasions and several incidents of illegal drug activity.

They carried out a search warrant on a home on Cherry Street.  25-year old Keddrick Jones was found to be in possession of several stolen items along with drugs and drug paraphernalia.  Jones was arrested and taken to the parish jail for booking.

Now police are working to try and find the owners of the stolen items found in Jones' home.  They were able to recover three flat screen televisions, Xbox video games, DVDs and a 22 caliber rifle, as seen in the picture above.  Detectives are asking people that can identify the items as theirs to call their office at 337-828-1960 or 985-384-1622.
