Morgan City Man Busted For Possession Of Child Pornography

Louisiana State Police detectives say they received information that indicated that 20-year-old Austin Vinning of Morgan City was allegedly in possession of child pornography.

Detectives with State Police teamed up with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office to investigate.  They got a search warrant, and on Wednesday their detectives and St. Martin Parish detectives, searched Vinning's home.

Investigators says while searching Vinning's digital media storage devices, they recovered several movies which depicted child pornography.  They say the also found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in Vinning's house.

He was arrested without incident, and he was booked into the St. Martin Parish Jail on charges of:

• possession of child pornography
• possession of marijuana
• possession of drug paraphernalia

Detectives says the case is still under investigation.

The case against Vinning is part of the State Police's "Operation Child Watch".  Their mission is to rescue children from the potential abuse of child predators who prey on the innocence of a child.
