Morgan City PD Arrests Three Trying to Pass Off Phony Bills

Three male subjects were arrested in Morgan City today for allegedly attempting to circulate counterfeit bills at a local business.

Our news partner KATC, reported the Morgan City Police Department arrested the subjects at a business on La. Highway 182 after business owners reported the individuals attempted to pay for a transaction with counterfeit $50 bills.

Detectives believed the suspects may have exchanged counterfeit $50 bills throughout the region ranging from New Orleans to Houston.
