Motorcycle Driver In Critical Condition Following Morning Crash
LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL) -- A 69-year-old Carencro man is in critical condition following a morning motorcycle crash.
Cpl. Paul Mouton, public information officer for the Lafayette Police Department, says 34-year-old Joseph Long of Breaux Bridge was performing a U-turn on Moss Street at around 6:30 a.m. when the motorcycle crashed into his pickup truck.
The driver of the motorcycle was taken to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition, Mouton says.
Long was given a citation for improper U-turn, and he was arrested on a charge of first degree vehicular negligent injury.
Alcohol use is not suspected, and the crash remains under investigation.
