Motorcyclist Killed In Lafayette Last Night

I happened around 8:40 last night when Thomas Smith of Hope, Arkansas was attempting to turn his motorcycle from a private drive-way into Ambassador Caffery.  The Lafayette Police Department said that Smith was thrown from his bike when he hit a Ford F-250 pickup truck while entering the road.

He was transferred to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The name of the truck's driver has not been released yet.  He was not injured in the crash, nor were his passengers.

The crash remains under investigation.
