Louisiana State Police are advising motorists to expect delays when traveling on Interstate 10 between Lafayette and Baton Rouge.

Currently, delays are being caused by Department of Transportation and Development crews who are conducting inspections to the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge east of the Butte LaRose rest area. In this area, traffic is being reduced to one lane of travel.

Also, DOTD crews will be repairing concrete on the I-10 westbound exit ramp at Ambassador Caffery. The ramp will be reduced to one lane of traffic from 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22 to Sunday, Aug. 23 at 10 a.m.

Motorists are asked to proceed with caution in these areas when approaching DOTD crews and their equipment.
