I love to go to the movies!  Here some of what you can expect to see at the theatres this weekend.  Let's "go to the show"!

One of the movies I have been waiting for to come out is "The Conspirator".  I love history and The History Channel so there is no shocker here that I can't wait to see Robert Redford's interpretation of the case surrounding Mary Surratt who was arrested in connection with the Abraham Lincoln assasination. Robin Wright plays the part of Mary and Redford said that he was looking to tell the behind-the-scenes story of Surratt.  "The Conspirator" is rated PG-13.

Being somewhat of a small child on the inside, I can't wait to check out the new animated movie, "Rio".  Who else can't wait to see a blue macaw on screen flapping around cutting up with other great characters?  Break out the big bag of popcorn for that one.  It's rated G, so everybody can have in on the fun.

Did I mention I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate horror movies???  I can't stand them.  I mean, I was scared too much as a kid to appreciate red corn syrup been thrown at people every five minutes, but.......for any of the Wes Craven "Scream" shows, I will show up 30 minutes early and be sure to bring my portable defribrilator!  I don't know why I like this series, and I really hoped the last one was it, but it's back!!!!! and so am I.  I sure hope this new crop of kids, mixed in with some of the trilogy dynasty, will thrill me from the minute I sit in my seat, or it's a possibility Wes Craven might break my heart.  I mean, can anything be better than Parker Posey as Gale Weathers? "Scream 4" is rated R

Be sure to email me with your thoughts if you check out any of these flicks this weekend.  Four microphones means it's the best movie you ever saw and so goes the scale to 1/2 a microphone meaning you would rather watch paint dry.  Have a good weekend!  Party on Wayne!  Party on Garth!
