Multiple Acadiana Plants Listed On EPA’s “Watch List”

An EPA "watch list" has been released, and multiple plants in Louisiana are on it. The list had been kept secret till now. 29 plants in the state are among the 460 nationwide listed for violating environmental rules. Some of those plants include Dynamic Industries Inc. in New Iberia, Gulf South Pipeline Company LP in Arnaudville, and M A Patout & Son Limited LLC in Jeanerette. Four Calcasieu Parish plants - Citgo Petroleum Corp. in Sulphur, Calcasieu Refining Co. in Lake Charles, and Miller Production Facility and PPG Industries Inc., both of Westlake - are listed as well.  This is the first part of a series of reports launched today by National Public Radio and the Center for Public Integrity.
