Multiple New Orleans And Baton Rouge People Accused Of Unemployment Insurance Fraud
In a crackdown on unemployment insurance fraud, 47 arrests have been made since April.
Louisiana Workforce Commission executive director Curt Eysink says most of the cases involve people who've continued to collect unemployment even after they'd gotten a job. Eysink says those that have been arrested allegedly defrauded $415,000 from the state's unemployment trust fund. He says they are from the New Orleans and Baton Rouge areas.
