Identity Released Of Weekend Vehicular Shooting Suspect

Lafayette Police identify the armed man who died Saturday, after chasing a woman's car and firing shots at her. 49-year-old Michael Davis ran his car into a tree while chasing the woman. They say the chase and gunplay resulted from a bad relationship. The case is under investigation now while a coroner's report is pending. Davis reportedly suffered a gunshot wound, but it's unknown if it was self-inflicted or the actual cause of death.
