Napoleonville Boy Struck, Killed By Car

PIERRE PART, La. (AP) — Assumption Parish sheriff's deputies say a 4-year-old boy has died after being struck by a car pulling into the driveway of a home in Pierre Part.

Sheriff Mike Waguespack tells The Advocate deputies responded the accident shortly before noon Monday.

He says the driver pulling into the driveway said he did not see the child.

Waguespack says the child was taken to Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City where he died from his injuries.
