NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) — Members of the Natchitoches Central High School orchestra will see a dream come true this spring when they travel to New York City to play Carnegie Hall.

The Town Talk reports Conductor Syll-Young Olson sent a tape of the orchestra playing as an audition for the national competition sponsored by the Manhattan Concert Production Company of New York.

The festival is for high school symphonic orchestras with excellent and superior ratings on the local regional, state and national level, as well as above average academic performance.

The festival is from March 31-April 3 and includes a clinic the first day.
