Natchitoches Man Arrested On Dog Fighting And Narcotics Related Charges

Investigators with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at a home in the 1400 block of Breaux Bridge Senior High School Road, and arrested a 25-year-old Natchitoches man an a variety of charged.

Jason Hasket Jr. was arrested on 47 counts of cruelty to animals and dog fighting.

Hasket was also arrested on several other charges including:

• Possession of Marijuana
• Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II C.D.S.
• Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule III C.D.S.
• Possession of a Firearm with Obliterated Number or Mark
• Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance

Police took away 47 dogs from the property, and they seized multiple items that they say are commonly associated with dogfightg.

Hasket was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center and bond has not yet been set.

Police say they are continuing to investigate this case.
