National Business Magazine Honors Louisiana FastStart

Louisiana Faststart has been named the nation's best state workforce training program by Business Facilities magazine for the second year in a row.

States' workforce training incentives, their success in securing projects, and their coordination of workforce training between economic development organizations and higher education are some of the factors used in determining the rankings. The program was launched in 2008 as part of Gov. Jindal's comprehensive workforce development reform plan.
