There were some fiery conversations, and the three panelists on Winging It Wednesday actually agreed on a few issues today.

Panelists, Carol Ross, Warren Caudle and Mike Stagg each got their chance to give their views of these news items:

  • The National Defense Authorization Act will come up for a vote in the Senate this week. The measure is being blasted as anti-liberty by Representative Justin Amash of Michigan. The complaint is that the act would allow the federal government to indefinitely detain Americans on U.S. soil, without charge or trial, at the discretion of the President.
  • Massachusetts Democratic Congressman Barney Frank says he won't seek another term in office. He cited things like the current Republican majority in the U.S. House and the congressional redistricting process as reasons for not running again. Frank is expected to hold a news conference around 2:30 Eastern time today from Capitol Hill.
