#1 - A Lafayette Police officer is dead after gunshots were fired during a battery investigation. It happened at a convenience store near the corner of Moss Street and Van Buren.

#2 - UPDATED: 50+ people are dead after shots were fired into a crowd at a Las Vegas music festival. Singer Jason Aldean was on stage and had to be rushed off. More than 100 people are injured.

#3 - Services are pending for the missing LSU student whose remains were found in a wooded area near campus on Friday. 21-year-old Michael Nickelotte went missing on September 18th. His body was found on Friday in a wooded area off of Nickolson Drive in Baton Rouge. Authorities do not suspect foul play.
