BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE, La. (AP) — Barksdale Air Force Base's 2nd Bomb Wing has formally welcomed its new leader.

Col. Andrew Gebara became the new commander in a Monday morning ceremony. He replaces Col. Tim Fay.

The ceremony's presiding officer was Maj. Gen. Stephen Wilson.

The Times reports that Gebara is a combat veteran who most recently served as vice commander of the 509th Bomb Wing at Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo.

He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis and is an A-10, B-52 and B-2 pilot.
