New Iberia Drug Bust Lands Two In Jail
The Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office has arrested two New Iberia men as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
Sheriff's spokesman Maj. Ryan Turner reported 31-year-old Errol Robinson Jr. and 27-year-old Joshua Paul Arcement were arrested Wednesday at a Desire Street home in New Iberia.
Upon executing a search warrant at the residence, investigators located: 17.3 grams of suspected crystal meth, 4.6 grams of suspected marijuana, one gram of suspected heroin and three handguns.
Robinson was arrested and charged with:
- intent to distribute schedule I (marijuana)
- possession with intent to distribute schedule II (heroin)
- possession with intent to distribute schedule II (crystal methamphetamine)
- resisting by flight
- possession of a fire arm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance
- monies derived from drug proceeds
- possession of drug paraphernalia
Arcement was arrested and charged with:
- possession with intent to distribute schedule I (marijuana)
- possession with intent to distribute schedule II (heroin)
- possession with intent to distribute schedule II (crystal methamphetamine)
- second or subsequent drug offense
- possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance
- possession of drug paraphernalia
Turner said the investigation is ongoing and more arrests may follow.
